A. It really depends on what you are looking for in a browser. Internet Explorer has been around for ages, and has the full support of Microsoft behind it. It is sleek and powerful, but on old(ish) computers that may slow you down a bit. Still, as the standard browser, you won't find many other negatives with it. Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2: Mozilla FireFox is a highly customizable browser. New themes and gadgets are released every week, and this gives a personal feel to it when viewing websites. Although it slows the computer down, it isn't as bad as IE, though on a fast computer, you won't notice much of a difference between the two. FireFox 3.0.3: Other options available are Opera Browser. What happens when the web browser gets closed while processing the data using a third party control?
Q. Here is my problem.. I am developing a web page, which uses a third party control to process the data. What happens when I close the web browser when the control is doing some job? In my case it is hanging and unless I close the browser it is not processing any subsequent requests. Thanks for the help. Mallesh
Asked by MN - Fri May 28 16:05:38 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. When you say third party, is this a server? The internet (or http to be specific) is whats known as client/server - so your the client with your web browser, and the server is... well the server... its like ordering at a restaurant, you tell the waiter what your order is and they go and tell the kitchen who cooks it... If you leave the restaurant while its still being cooked (assuming the waiter hasnt checked) then the kitchen cooks what you first asked and is ignorant you have left... If what you mean is client/server then what will happen is the request will finish processing, but once its completed it can't tell anyone (e.g. give the order to you to eat) so its completed but you don't know about it!

what is the best web browser for windows vista?
Q. I want to know what the fastest and most convenient web browser for vista is. I don't want a giant group of people telling use Firefox!!! I would like people who have used multiple web browsers and vista to tell me which one would be the fastest, customizable and easiest to use on vista.
Asked by Logan - Wed Aug 12 20:47:06 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I've used IE7, IE8, Firefox 3.5.1 & 3.5.2, and Chrome, and I'd have to go with Firefox. It's just as fast as Chrome and faster than IE. Also, it has a HUGE centralized database of addons, which really helps customize, which none of the other browsers have. I use dozens, and could recommend a couple to you if you want. I honestly would go with Firefox. Actually, I did! And I've been very satisfied. Never a problem. I actually once wrote an essay on why you should switch to Firefox.

Q. How do I get into my web browser on my nintendo dsi? I have my wireless internet settings set up in advanced settings. I'd be using a wireless router to connect to the internet. A. On your DSi menu, you can see an option to shop.Click that one.It will take you to the online DSi store where you can buy all of the junk* it has to offer.Locate the web browser, then download it for free.Once your done downloading it,go back to your DSi menu.It will be in a present.Click it to open it.There, you now have the DSi web browser. The DSi browser it sh*t.I hope you don't plan on actually using it.I won't explain.I'll let you use it so you can see how sh*tty it is.I guarantee you'll close that browser in 4 minutes and never touch it again. -Christian

How do you disable right click in web browser control in visual basic?
Q. I have a web browser window inside my form and want to be able to disable the right mouse event. Is this possible? So like when I right click on the page in the browser, a message box comes up or the form closes? I am using vb 2008. Can you also explain where to put the code, I'm a noob. Thanks

A. It's been awhile since I've played with VB, so this may or may not work. You want to go to the even "right mouse down" for the object that contains the webpage. This is the part that I am not sure if it'll work, put this code in that event: Cancel = 1
