What do the letters mean on the electric guitar tuner?
Q. I can't seem to understand the letters mean, at first I thought that they meant the corresponding string letter but then I found a combination of 2 letters or just 1 letter that isnt the name of a string.

A. well I don't know how well u know guitar, so please dont fid this patronising. but it goes: E, A, D, G, B, E and the tuner gives you the letter for the note your guitar plays on any given string, to help you to tune up or down. If it comes up with two letters it could be because its registering two strings being strummed at the same time. I personally find the best way to tune a guitar is with a piano or preferably a keyboard because it is programmed to be in tune, starting with the lowest E and ending on the E two octaves up because you play by ear then, making it easier to tell whether it sounds right or not. Ways to volunteer through writing letters?
Q. I'm one of those rare people who still writes letters. I thought it would be nice for me to volunteer through my letter-writing...either supporting soldiers or the elderly, etc. Any recommendations for groups that I could work with? I'm creeped out by a lot of the hyper patriotic Iraq war organizations...I'd like to support the soldiers without buying into the "America's the best place on earth" rhetoric. (I'm against the war but believe in supporting the men and women that are involved in it) Any suggestions?

How do community newspapers get nice letters from the Mayor, and political leaders in their district?
Q. How can a community newspaper generate supportive letters from their community leaders for publishing? How would such a letter be written? Would they ask for a specific response? Should they start on the top of the ladder and go for it? How does a community newspaper hit a home run and land an interview from a well known politician?

A. The City Council pays top dollar for advertising and then get nice reviews from the owner of the newspaper.. If City Council decided to use another newspaper or changed the medium [Internet] to advertise. Then the newspaper will come out and say the mayor doesn't know what she/he doing ,their wasting tax payers money etc etc etc So everything stays the same. You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours...lol
